THE $93.2 BILLION DIRECT MEDICAL EXPENDITURES FOR CANCER IN THE U.S. IN 2008 WERE ABOUT 100 TIMES GREATER THAN THOSE OF 50 YEARS EARLIER, WHILE THE COST OF LIVING INCREASED ONLY 3 TIMES.

DURING THE PAST 50 YEARS REDUCTION IN CANCER DEATHS HAS BEEN RECORDED AS A MERE 5%, WHILE FOR HEART DISEASE THE REDUCTION WAS 64%.

IT IS EVIDENT WHEN ONE BECOMES AWARE FROM EXPERIMENTAL DATA THAT THE REDUCTION OF CANCER DEATH RATE IN THE 38 MOST INDUSTRIALIZED COUNTRIES IS APPROXIMATELY THE SAME AS IN LESS DEVELOPED COUNTRIES THAT DO NOT HAVE A COST OF ABOUT $741 BILLION/YEAR.

    First Priority: Saving Lives
This should be first priority whereas currently it is the second priority (the reduction in cancer death has been recorded as a mere 5% over the past 50 years versus 100 fold increase in direct medical expenditures for cancer)		       Second Priority: Profit
This should be second priority whereas currently it is the first priority (total cancer costs in the 38 most industrialized countries is $741 billion/year, which equals $750/per-capita annually). Furthermore, the Return on Investiment (ROI) should go mainly to the Investor, while currently, Investor "A" (e.g. the taxpayers) put up the money (Government grants), and the Return or "profit" goes to pharmaceutical companies "B" or to a few businessmen "C".
